Ignite Funding Secures 2nd Year on INC 5000

Ignite Funding is proud to announce that it has secured its place on the INC 5000’s list of fastest-growing, privately owned companies for the second year in a row. Ignite Funding was ranked No. 4886, moving up from No. 4928 in 2020.

To help put this achievement into perspective, take a look at what the qualification requirements are and what the competition looks like below:

The Qualifications

Before a company can even apply for the INC 5000 list, the company must first meet the qualifications set for that year.

Qualification requirements for 2021:

  • Be privately owned (not a subsidiary or division of another company), and based in the U.S.
  • Had started earning revenue by March 31st, 2017.
  • Had revenue no less than $100,000 in 2017.
  • Had revenue no less than $2 million in 2020.

The Competition

There are over 31 million privately owned business in the U.S. Obviously not all 31 million meet the qualifications to apply or even choose to participate, but that means that there are most likely millions of qualified, privately owned businesses, like Ignite Funding, vying for a spot on the INC 5000 list each year. These companies are then ranked according to percentage of revenue growth from the preceding 3-year period. Only the top 5000 make the list.

Historically, this competition has set a very high bar for the minimum percentage of revenue growth needed to make the cut. For example, on INC 5000’s 2020 list, the company that received the lowest ranking still had experienced 55% 3-year growth in revenue. In 2020, Ignite Funding experienced 57% 3-year growth in revenue. In 2021, the company that received the lowest ranking experienced 39% revenue growth, while Ignite Funding achieved 43% revenue growth.

All Thanks to You

The 3-year growth achieved by Ignite Funding is only a small glimpse into what has been accomplished over the past 10 years of the company’s history.

“Ten years of grit and ingenuity from our borrowers and ten years of loyalty from our investors are what have brought us to this point,” affirms Ms. Cook, Ignite Funding's President. “We can never thank them enough for helping Ignite Funding continue to achieve milestones and recognition like this.”
